The headline attraction is Gogmazios, the Giant Halberd Dragon and an Elder Dragon returning after a long absence. The monster originally appeared in Monster Hunter 4 G in 2014 and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in 2015, according to the available update information. That makes this comeback especially important for veterans who remember the original siege-style encounter, while newcomers get their first chance to meet the colossal monster in Wilds.
The update also focuses heavily on the endgame. Hunters at HR 100 or higher can use Transcendence to push armor beyond its previous upgrade limits. Rarity 5 and 6 armor receives stronger decoration-slot potential through this system, giving established builds another reason to keep farming after the usual endgame milestones.
The Gogmazios content is not limited to one clear-and-done hunt. A special mission supports up to four hunters joining forces with support hunters to create parties of eight. Completing the Gogmazios Extra Mission unlocks a permanent event quest for repeat runs. That is the key distinction for anyone deciding whether to rush the encounter: the first mission is the gateway, but the permanent quest is where the longer farming loop begins.
Update 4 also adds high-difficulty quests containing multiple 9★ monsters. Completing those quests awards special nameplates, but hunters who join after a quest has started do not receive the nameplate reward. Hunting Exercises add another challenge route by placing hunters against tempered 9★ monsters.
The patch information also mentions seasonal events, limited-time rewards, weapon balance changes, performance improvements, and general fixes. However, the supplied patch information does not include a complete weapon-by-weapon change list or exact performance figures. Treat those parts as broad update categories rather than assuming that every weapon received a direct buff.
For a broader progression route, pair this update with a Monster Hunter Wilds endgame guide and use the Gogmazios-specific systems below as your checklist.
Winners: New Hunts and Endgame Players
The biggest winners in Update 4 are endgame hunters, returning-series fans, coordinated multiplayer groups, and anyone still building Rarity 8 Artian Weapons.
Gogmazios is the update's main prize. Its return gives Monster Hunter Wilds a large Elder Dragon encounter built around spectacle, preparation, and repeated farming. The available information confirms the monster's inclusion but does not provide a complete list of hit zones, elemental weaknesses, break rewards, attack values, or weapon-material tables. That means the correct early strategy is to prepare a flexible, upgrade-ready loadout rather than immediately locking into a supposedly perfect counter build based on older games.
The special Gogmazios mission is particularly valuable for groups:
- Up to four hunters can join the hunt.
- Support hunters can join the same operation, creating a party of eight.
- Nadia and Fabius are named as support participants for the Gogmazios fight.
- Completing the Gogmazios Extra Mission unlocks a permanent event quest.
- The permanent event quest can be repeated for additional farming.
This structure benefits players who enjoy multiplayer but do not always have a full hunting party available. A group can queue into the special mission with human players and support hunters filling out the operation. It also gives solo-minded hunters a clearer long-term target: complete the extra mission once, then use the permanent version when they need more Gogmazios materials.
The second major winner is the Artian Weapon farmer. Update 4 lets hunters upgrade Rarity 8 Artian Weapons into Gogma Artian Weapons using materials obtained from Gogmazios. Existing reinforcement bonuses are retained during the upgrade, so prior investment is not simply thrown into the furnace. That retention matters for players who have already spent time shaping a preferred Artian weapon rather than keeping every weapon in an untouched state.
Gogma Artian Weapons also introduce randomized bonuses:
- One bonus skill is selected at random.
- One group skill is selected at random.
- Existing reinforcement bonuses remain when the weapon is upgraded.
- Gogma Reinforce can retain the current reinforcement bonuses.
- Gogma Reinforce can also reset the weapon's bonus skill and group skill.
- The Reset Skills option uses Gogma materials.
This gives weapon farmers two useful directions. The conservative route is to preserve a weapon's current reinforcement investment and accept the initial bonus combination. The optimization route is to spend Gogmazios materials on resets until the weapon better matches the build being assembled. The facts do not specify the available skill pool, reset cost, or probability distribution, so do not treat any unconfirmed “best roll” list as official patch data.
High-rank players also benefit from Transcendence. The requirement is HR 100+, and the system raises the limits imposed on Armor Sphere upgrades. It also powers up the decoration slots of rarity 5 and 6 armor. This is a direct reason for established hunters to revisit armor pieces they previously discarded as temporary or second-best choices.
The new multiple-9★ quests are another clear win for challenge-focused players. These quests feature multiple 9★ monsters and reward special nameplates. The reward condition has an important multiplayer rule: hunters who join after the quest has started do not receive the nameplate. The nameplate is therefore tied to participating in the quest from its beginning, not merely helping with the final monster.

Losers: Old Progression and Unprepared Builds
The main losers in Update 4 are players who stop at their previous armor ceiling, rely on untested Artian rolls, or expect every rumored balance change to be a confirmed buff.
Transcendence changes the value of existing armor progression. Before the update, hunters could reasonably treat Armor Sphere investment as complete once a preferred set reached its known limit. After Update 4, HR 100+ players have another upgrade layer to pursue. A hunter who refuses to revisit armor may enter Gogmazios and the new 9★ content with less defensive headroom than the updated progression system expects.
The impact is clearest for rarity 5 and 6 armor. These pieces are not automatically obsolete, because Update 4 specifically improves their decoration-slot potential through Transcendence. That also means a previously assembled set may no longer be the final version of a build. Players who replaced rarity 5 or 6 armor solely because of its old slot ceiling should inspect it again before selling materials or dismantling the set.
| Player habit before Update 4 | Why it loses value after the update |
|---|---|
| Treating armor upgrades as finished before HR 100+ | Transcendence raises the armor upgrade ceiling |
| Ignoring rarity 5 and 6 armor | Their decoration-slot potential can be improved |
| Assuming every Artian roll is permanent | Gogma Reinforce can reset bonus and group skills |
| Joining a 9★ quest late for the reward | Late joiners do not receive the special nameplate |
| Farming Gogmazios once and stopping | The Extra Mission unlocks a permanent repeatable event quest |
| Saving only one Artian weapon | Gogmazios materials create a new upgrade and reset loop |
Artian Weapon owners face a different kind of risk: randomization. Gogma Artian Weapons receive one random bonus skill and one random group skill. A weapon that looks like a direct upgrade in name may still produce an awkward combination for the build you actually play. Conversely, a weapon with an imperfect first roll may become worth keeping if its existing reinforcement bonuses are valuable.
The patch does not supply a precise list of nerfed weapons, removed quests, removed rewards, or reduced values. The available information only says that weapon balances are expected and that performance and game improvements are part of the update. Because of that, it would be inaccurate to name a specific weapon as a loser or claim that a particular skill received a percentage reduction.
The practical loser is therefore the pre-update assumption that old rankings remain untouched. A build that was comfortable against familiar endgame encounters may need a defensive check for Gogmazios, while a weapon that was considered a safe Artian investment now has a fresh upgrade path and a random skill layer to evaluate.
Players also lose efficiency if they join high-difficulty quests casually. The nameplate restriction makes late-joining behavior matter. Helping a friend finish a quest can still be useful for practice and materials, but it should not be confused with earning the special completion reward.
Gogmazios Mission and Multiplayer Changes
The Gogmazios mission adds an eight-hunter operation built from four player hunters and support hunters, making coordinated multiplayer the most important new group-play change.
The special quest is designed around a larger hunting party than the normal player team. Up to four hunters can join forces with support hunters, allowing parties of eight for the Gogmazios encounter. Nadia and Fabius are specifically named as support hunters for the mission. The facts do not state that eight human players can enter together, so the accurate reading is four hunters plus support participants rather than an eight-player lobby.
That distinction matters when planning a session. If you and three friends enter together, the support hunters fill out the operation. If you enter alone or with a smaller group, the encounter still has a structure built around additional allies rather than requiring a full human squad.
A clean first-run checklist looks like this:
- Confirm that the Gogmazios Extra Mission is available after installing Update 4.
- Decide whether the group wants a learning run or a material-farming run.
- Keep at least one flexible loadout available instead of committing every resource to a single unverified counter.
- Coordinate with the party before starting if the goal is the 9★ nameplate system.
- Treat the first completion as the unlock step for the permanent event quest.
- Revisit the permanent quest later when farming Gogmazios materials for Gogma Artian Weapons.
The permanent event quest is one of the most important details in the whole patch. Without it, Gogmazios could function mainly as a launch-day spectacle. With it, the encounter becomes part of the repeatable endgame economy. Players can return for materials, practice, and weapon upgrades rather than waiting for the special mission to rotate back into availability.
The mission also creates a useful split between two kinds of hunters. The first group wants to learn the monster and complete the initial extra mission. The second wants to optimize Gogma Artian Weapons and will need repeated clears. These goals should not be mixed accidentally: the first run benefits from a stable build and clear communication, while later runs can focus on speed, break consistency, and material efficiency once the group understands the fight.
The update facts do not confirm Gogmazios's exact arena, siege objects, attack phases, or reward breakdown. Older-series memories may help veterans recognize the monster, but Monster Hunter Wilds should be treated as its own encounter until the game confirms the mechanics. This is especially important for weapon choice. A bowgun visible in the announcement key visual does not prove that bowguns are mandatory or uniquely advantaged.
For group preparation, a Gogmazios preparation checklist belongs alongside your regular multiplayer loadout guide. The useful focus is readiness, communication, and repeatability rather than copying an unsupported damage ranking.
Transcendence and Gogma Artian Weapons
Transcendence and Gogma Artian Weapons are the two progression systems that turn Update 4 from a single monster release into a long-term farming patch.
Transcendence is available to hunters at HR 100+ and lets them upgrade armor beyond the previous Armor Sphere limits. The system also powers up decoration slots on rarity 5 and 6 armor. This is not just a cosmetic extension to the upgrade menu: it changes how high-rank players should evaluate their stored armor and upgrade materials.
The most immediate action is an inventory review. Check the armor pieces already supporting your main builds, especially rarity 5 and 6 pieces that were kept for their skill combinations or set utility. A piece that was previously blocked by its upgrade limit may now have a reason to return to active rotation. That does not mean every rarity 5 or 6 item is automatically better than rarity 7 or 8 gear. It means the old assumption that lower-rarity armor has no endgame role is no longer reliable.
Transcendence also changes resource planning. Armor Sphere stockpiles now have another use for HR 100+ hunters. The supplied facts do not state the sphere cost, the final defense values, or whether every armor piece receives identical treatment, so those details should be checked in-game rather than guessed from the headline.
Gogma Artian Weapons are more targeted. They require a Rarity 8 Artian Weapon and Gogmazios materials. The upgrade preserves existing reinforcement bonuses, which is good news for players who already invested in a weapon. The resulting weapon gains one random bonus skill and one random group skill.
| Weapon system | Confirmed behavior | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Rarity 8 Artian Weapon | Base weapon eligible for the new upgrade | Starting point for Gogma conversion |
| Gogma Artian Weapon | Gains one random bonus skill and one random group skill | New endgame weapon optimization |
| Gogma Reinforce | Can retain reinforcement bonuses | Preserve an investment that already fits |
| Reset Skills | Uses Gogma materials to reset bonus and group skills | Re-roll an unsuitable combination |
| Existing reinforcement bonuses | Retained when upgrading | Avoid rebuilding the weapon from zero |
The random bonuses create a decision point after every upgrade. Do not burn materials immediately just because the first result is not perfect. Compare the bonus skill and group skill with the weapon's current reinforcement bonuses and your actual set. A theoretically attractive skill can still be poor if it displaces a more useful combination or forces an armor rebuild.
A sensible farming order is:
- Upgrade the Artian weapon that already has the strongest reinforcement foundation.
- Inspect the random bonus skill and group skill together.
- Keep the result if it supports a real build you use.
- Use Gogma Reinforce when preserving the existing investment is more valuable than chasing a new roll.
- Use Reset Skills only after deciding which part of the weapon's current combination is holding the build back.
- Maintain a material reserve for future attempts until the weapon's value is clear.
The official information confirms the existence of these controls but not their exact costs or available outcomes. That makes build testing more important than chasing a community spreadsheet before the full skill pool is verified.
New 9★ Challenges and Reward Rules
Update 4 expands challenge content with high-difficulty quests featuring multiple 9★ monsters and Hunting Exercises against tempered 9★ targets.
The multiple-monster 9★ quests are the headline test for hunters who have already cleared ordinary endgame content. Their reward is a special nameplate, which functions as a visible completion marker rather than a new armor or weapon material according to the supplied information. The reward condition is strict: hunters who join after the quest has started do not receive the nameplate.
That rule changes how multiplayer groups should organize their attempts. The player who joins halfway through may still contribute damage and help complete the hunt, but the nameplate is not awarded under the stated condition. Everyone who wants the reward should be present before the quest begins.
The challenge ladder can be approached in three ways:
- Start with the multi-9★ quest when the full group is ready for the nameplate condition.
- Use Hunting Exercises to practice against tempered 9★ monsters.
- Return to Gogmazios for a different kind of high-end encounter and material farming.
Hunting Exercises are useful because they isolate the pressure of tempered 9★ fights. The update facts do not specify the exact monster lineup, reward table, or exercise restrictions, so they should be treated as a training and challenge category rather than a confirmed replacement for the nameplate quests.
The distinction between the two modes is meaningful. A multi-9★ quest tests endurance across multiple targets and rewards successful participation with a special nameplate. A Hunting Exercise pits hunters against tempered 9★ monsters and provides a separate way to test execution. Gogmazios, meanwhile, introduces the Elder Dragon encounter and supplies the materials needed for Gogma Artian Weapon progression.
| Content | Confirmed purpose or reward | Participation detail |
|---|---|---|
| Multi-9★ high-difficulty quests | Special nameplates | Joining after the quest starts does not award the nameplate |
| Hunting Exercises | Battles against tempered 9★ monsters | Intended as an additional challenge format |
| Gogmazios Extra Mission | Unlocks a permanent event quest | Supports up to four hunters with support hunters |
| Permanent Gogmazios event quest | Repeatable Gogmazios content | Useful for continued material farming |
The nameplate rule also makes matchmaking timing important. If a group is collecting the reward, use a ready check before launching. If the goal is simply practice, late joining is less of a concern, but the group should still understand that the reward condition will not be recovered by finishing the quest.
There is no confirmed claim in the supplied patch data that the 9★ quests remove older content or replace existing endgame activities. They are additions to the challenge pool. Keep existing farming routes available until you know which rewards your build needs, then move into the new content with a specific target: nameplate, tempered practice, Gogmazios materials, or all three.
Player Action Items After the Patch
Players should begin by verifying the update, checking HR progression, preserving useful Artian weapons, and choosing a clear farming objective.
The first task is to confirm installation. Update 4 is listed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with the official page identifying it as version 01.4. The launch date is listed as December 16, 2025, while regional reporting gives a December 15, 2025, 11 PM ET release time. Because those labels can describe different time zones, use the platform download status and the in-game version information rather than assuming the patch is active from a calendar date alone.
Once installed, work through this order:
- Check your hunter rank and note whether you have reached HR 100.
- Review rarity 5 and 6 armor pieces used in current builds.
- Save Rarity 8 Artian Weapons with valuable reinforcement bonuses.
- Unlock and complete the Gogmazios Extra Mission.
- Use the permanent Gogmazios event quest for repeated material runs.
- Upgrade selected Artian Weapons into Gogma Artian Weapons.
- Test the random bonus skill and group skill before spending reset materials.
- Assemble a full group before starting a 9★ nameplate attempt.
- Use Hunting Exercises to prepare for tempered 9★ pressure.
- Re-check performance after the patch, especially in the situations that previously caused crashes, frame drops, or instability.
The most important respec-like action is not a complete armor rebuild. It is a targeted review. Transcendence gives HR 100+ players a new reason to upgrade existing armor, particularly rarity 5 and 6 pieces with useful decoration-slot potential. Replacing everything immediately wastes time and can make comparison harder. Upgrade one active set, test it in a known hunt, then decide whether another set deserves materials.
The recommended farm route also changes. Before Update 4, an Artian Weapon route could end at reinforcement optimization. After the update, the route has another branch:
- Farm Gogmazios.
- Convert a strong Rarity 8 Artian Weapon into a Gogma Artian Weapon.
- Inspect the random skill combination.
- Keep the roll, preserve the reinforcement bonuses, or reset the bonus and group skills.
- Repeat only when the material cost makes the improvement worthwhile.
Do not spend every Gogmazios material on the first weapon you own. The official facts confirm random bonus and group skills but do not provide the reset cost or the full outcome pool. Holding a reserve gives you flexibility while the new weapon meta settles.
For multiplayer, separate goals before starting. A material run can prioritize smooth clears and repeatability. A nameplate run requires the eligible hunters to be in the quest from the start. A practice run can use Hunting Exercises instead. Mixing those goals is how a group ends up with a clear but no nameplate, which is a particularly expensive way to discover one sentence in the patch notes.
Performance, Balance, and What Is Not Confirmed
Update 4 includes performance improvements, general game improvements, and weapon balance changes, but the supplied information does not provide a complete numeric change list.
The patch is described as addressing known issues involving crashes, frame-rate drops, and instability. That makes performance a meaningful part of the update, especially for PC players and anyone who experienced problems during demanding hunts. However, no before-and-after frame-rate figures, crash-rate data, graphics-setting recommendations, or platform-specific fix list are provided in the available facts.
Treat the performance portion as something to validate locally:
- Record which hunts or locations previously caused problems.
- Test the same situations after installing Update 4.
- Compare stability during multiplayer and solo play.
- Check whether the issue appears during Gogmazios or existing encounters.
- Report remaining crashes or severe frame drops through the game's support channels.
The same caution applies to weapon balance. The update information says weapon balances are expected, but it does not identify which weapons were buffed, which were nerfed, or what the exact values are. It would be inaccurate to claim a specific motion-value increase, ammo adjustment, sharpness change, charge-time reduction, or skill coefficient without a source confirming it.
That means the early meta response should be measured. Test the weapons you already use before rebuilding around community rumors. Three examples show why:
- A Great Sword player may find that an existing armor set benefits more from Transcendence than from immediately changing weapons.
- A Bowgun player may be interested in the weapon shown in the announcement visual, but that visual does not confirm a balance change or required role.
- An Artian Weapon user has a confirmed upgrade path, but the random Gogma skills make individual weapon results more important than a universal ranking.
| Change category | What is confirmed | What remains unconfirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon balance | Weapon balance changes are included in the update information | Specific weapons, values, and direction of changes |
| Performance | Performance improvements and game improvements are included | Exact fixes, frame-rate gains, or crash reductions |
| Gogmazios | Returning Elder Dragon and new mission content | Full attack, weakness, and reward details |
| Transcendence | HR 100+ access, higher armor limits, stronger rarity 5 and 6 decoration-slot potential | Exact costs and final defense values |
| Gogma Artian Weapons | Rarity 8 upgrade, retained reinforcement bonuses, random skills, reset option | Full skill pool and reset material cost |
The correct action is to keep a stable baseline build. Do not dismantle a reliable weapon because a balance preview sounds promising. Do not sell useful armor because a new upgrade system exists. Capture the current build, test the patch, and then adjust around observed results.
Performance improvements can also change farming efficiency indirectly. A stable hunt means fewer failed runs and less lost time, but that benefit depends on your hardware, settings, network conditions, and the specific issue you experienced. Update 4 is a good point to retest the content you avoided, but it is not evidence that every technical problem has disappeared.
Roadmap and Long-Term Farming Priorities
The long-term priority after Update 4 is Gogmazios material farming first, Transcendence second, and challenge rewards according to your goals.
The update's systems connect into a practical endgame loop. Gogmazios supplies materials for Gogma Artian Weapons. Transcendence gives HR 100+ hunters further armor progression. Multi-9★ quests provide special nameplates, while Hunting Exercises offer tempered 9★ challenges. Seasonal events and limited-time rewards add additional reasons to check the game during their availability.
A useful priority order is:
- Complete the Gogmazios Extra Mission to unlock the permanent event quest.
- Farm enough materials to upgrade the Artian Weapon that best matches your current playstyle.
- Use Transcendence on active armor sets once HR 100+ requirements are met.
- Attempt multi-9★ quests with a complete eligible group if you want the nameplate.
- Practice tempered 9★ fights through Hunting Exercises.
- Check seasonal events and limited-time rewards before their windows close.
- Revisit weapon balance and performance after testing rather than relying on launch-day assumptions.
The permanent Gogmazios quest is the foundation because it keeps the monster relevant after the first clear. A hunter chasing Gogma Artian Weapon rolls can return to it repeatedly. A hunter who only wants the experience can complete the extra mission and move on to the new 9★ content. Both playstyles are supported without requiring the same amount of farming.
Transcendence should be treated as an account progression milestone, not a reason to upgrade every stored armor piece at once. Focus on the sets used for Gogmazios, multi-9★ quests, and tempered 9★ exercises. For example, a main damage set, a defensive set, and a multiplayer utility set are more sensible starting points than upgrading every old piece in storage.
The roadmap also matters. Another update is planned for February 2026 and is expected to feature a new Arch-tempered monster. The available fact does not name that monster or provide its rewards. That future update gives hunters a reason to avoid spending every rare material immediately, particularly while Gogma Artian Weapon reset costs and skill outcomes are still being established by the community.
| Priority | Why it matters now | Resource decision |
|---|---|---|
| Gogmazios Extra Mission | Unlocks the permanent event quest | Complete it before settling into repeated farming |
| Gogma Artian Weapon | Adds random bonus and group skills to Rarity 8 Artian Weapons | Upgrade proven weapons first |
| Transcendence | Extends armor progression for HR 100+ hunters | Spend Armor Spheres on active sets |
| Multi-9★ quests | Awards special nameplates | Ensure eligible hunters join before starting |
| Hunting Exercises | Tests hunters against tempered 9★ monsters | Use for practice and challenge progression |
| February 2026 roadmap update | Adds a new Arch-tempered monster | Keep some resources in reserve |
Seasonal events and limited-time rewards should be checked early in each play session while they are active. The supplied information confirms their inclusion but does not list every event name, schedule, item, or reward. Avoid treating an unlisted event as permanently available. The permanent Gogmazios quest is specifically confirmed; seasonal content is not described with the same permanence.
The update therefore rewards deliberate routing. Start with the permanent unlock, turn materials into a carefully chosen weapon upgrade, strengthen armor through Transcendence, then pursue challenge cosmetics. That sequence keeps your combat power and farming efficiency moving together without wasting resources on unverified rolls.
What This Means for the Current Meta
Update 4 shifts the current meta toward endgame account development, repeatable Gogmazios farming, and build-by-build evaluation of Gogma Artian Weapons.
The patch does not support a single universal “best build” conclusion yet. Gogmazios materials create a new weapon branch, but the random bonus skill and group skill mean two weapons of the same category can produce different practical outcomes. Transcendence also increases the value of armor that may have been dismissed under the old upgrade limits, especially rarity 5 and 6 pieces with desirable decoration-slot layouts.
The most reliable meta changes are structural:
- Rarity 8 Artian Weapons now have a Gogma upgrade path.
- Reinforcement bonuses are preserved during the Gogma conversion.
- Bonus and group skills can be reset with Gogma materials.
- HR 100+ armor progression continues through Transcendence.
- Multi-9★ quests add prestige rewards.
- Tempered 9★ Hunting Exercises add a separate challenge route.
- Gogmazios becomes a repeatable source of upgrade materials after the Extra Mission is completed.
That structure favors hunters who already have a functional build and can improve it incrementally. A player with a stable Rarity 8 Artian Weapon has a stronger starting point than someone who dismantles every old weapon to chase an unknown roll. Likewise, an HR 100+ player with several useful rarity 5 or 6 armor pieces can test Transcendence before committing to a full replacement set.
The current meta also rewards flexible group composition. The Gogmazios quest can use up to four hunters together with support hunters, so the content is not framed solely as a solo damage check. Multiplayer groups should prioritize clear communication, especially for the first mission and for the nameplate-eligible 9★ quests.
Because exact weapon balance values are not included, any tier-list movement should be considered provisional until confirmed in-game or through complete official notes. A weapon may rise because of a direct balance adjustment, because a Gogma skill combination suits it, or because Gogmazios favors its range and uptime. Those are different causes and should not be collapsed into one claim.
For build decisions, use a simple comparison:
| Build question | Update 4 answer |
|---|---|
| Should an established Rarity 8 Artian Weapon be discarded? | No; it may be upgraded and retains existing reinforcement bonuses |
| Should every armor piece be replaced? | No; inspect useful rarity 5 and 6 pieces under Transcendence |
| Should every random Gogma roll be reset? | No; compare the roll with the current build first |
| Should late joining be used for a 9★ nameplate run? | No; the stated reward rule excludes late joiners |
| Should Gogmazios be farmed only once? | No; the Extra Mission unlocks a permanent repeatable event quest |
| Should unlisted balance changes be assumed? | No; use only confirmed weapon changes until full details are available |
The practical winner is not one weapon class. It is the hunter who converts existing investment into the new progression systems without burning materials blindly. Keep the set that works, upgrade the weapon with the best foundation, and use the new challenges to test whether the changes hold up in actual hunts.
